IGNITE 2019 is a chance for our Affiliate leadership and DIHQ leadership to come together to collaborate, ideate, innovate and communicate. The two-day conference will be filled with informative sessions that are meant to inspire you, as well as equip you with the mindset and the tools needed for success when you return home.

who’s invited

All Affiliate Directors and other Affiliate representatives are welcome to attend. Each Affiliate will receive a travel stipend* for one (1) Affiliate Director or representative to attend. Affiliates may send additional representatives for a cost of $650 per person. We encourage each Affiliate to invite the representatives they feel will gain the most from this important weekend.

*DIHQ will be giving a $500 travel stipend to all US, Canada and Mexico Affiliates who attend. DIHQ will be giving a $750 travel stipend to all other affiliates who attend.


This year, IGNITE will be structured in a way so everyone will get to attend every session offered. We will be split into smaller groups to facilitate more discussion around topics in each session as well. We are focused on making sure everyone goes home, not only with inspiration for the future, but real, tangible tools and resources to help you get there.     CEO & Board Chair Office Hours

    We will also be bringing a brand new element to the IGNITE experience—CEO & Board Chair Office Hours. We will have 30-minute slots for ADs to reserve that will allow time to talk with Michele Tuck-Ponder, CEO of Destination Imagination and Louise Liddle, Chair of the Board of Trustees. These sessions are meant to help you answer questions regarding your 501(c)3 application, insurance issues, or just to get to know our organization leadership.


IGNITE 2019 will be held at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, TX (Dallas area). We are excited to return to this proven hotel partner of the organization. It is only a short (and FREE) shuttle ride from DFW Airport* and has a pool and fitness center you may enjoy during your down-time. Please note, hotel check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check out is at 11:00 AM. Attendees with early arrivals and/or late departures can store their luggage at the front desk, if needed.

Please log in to the Registration site to reserve your spot. All rooms will be double-occupancy and you may request a specific roommate right there on the site. Single room buyouts are available for $220. We want to make sure your accommodations are set up correctly.

Please also add in your arrival/departure information so we can coordinate the hotel shuttle service accordingly.

*There is no free shuttle from Dallas Love Field Airport. The most affordable option to get to/from the hotel is using a ride-share service such as Uber or Lyft at about $30 each way.
