Unleash the creative potential of multilingualism to increase worldwide collaborations to solve DI service-learning challenges that are matched to global goals. Students can engage in transformative conversations about their solutions to DI challenges. These dialogues can create more of an awareness of our diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and belonging from a worldwide perspective. At times agreed beforehand by the teams, they can meet to discuss successes and challenges of the DI service-learning challenge online . Through these collaborative dialogues, they will be inspired with various perspectives and could be encouraged to create more alliances. Using translanguaging will engage the children, teachers, parents to provide DIers with a richer sources of information through the translation of text with online tools.

Practical tools to build inclusion and belonging in our social and professional environments, while learning how to navigate conflict and uncomfortable conversations. The session will cover how to nurture individual and collective authenticity, creative approaches to enhance innovation, and ways to lean in so that everyone has the same opportunity to stand out in their full unique expression.

Centerville DI has successfully formed Special Needs teams and included them in their Regional Tournaments since 2015. Our designated "Special Stars" are students who spend a portion of their day in a Special Needs classroom and require adult assistance to participate. Have you also wondered how to tap this underserved population to include your Special Needs students, and need ideas how to proceed? Join us for an overview of how the Centerville City Schools DI program creates Special Needs teams; learn how a SN team practice can be run; watch a SN team perform their challenge solution and how they are incorporated into the Tournament - from the viewpoint of administrators, Team Managers, and team parents!
